Home Tissue Culture Workshop – Hands-on Plant Propagation
Saturday, June 16, 9 am to 3 pm
Do you have a favorite plant that you’d like to mass produce? Do you love watching plants grow? Are you a collector or plant scavenger? Then this workshop is for you! Plant tissue culture is a method of plant propagation that enables production of many plants from small plant pieces. This “kitchen” approach shows you how to do this in your kitchen or classroom at little cost. Participants will take home sample cultures that you create in class plus a handout with basic instructions and FREE samples to use at home. All media and materials for the workshop will be provided. No prior knowledge required – only an interest in plants! Registration is required. $35 includes lunch and coffee. Carol Stiff, Instructor. Contact Carol at carol@hometissueculture.org for further information and/or if you would like to bring a favorite plant.
